Turism and Regional Development

About us

The research team focuses on issues related to tourism development, destination and tourism services management, and regional development. It primarily investigates the complex, systemic, and spatial aspects of tourism and regional development, along with their economic, social, and environmental impacts. To address these topics, the team draws on knowledge from various fields, such as planning, stakeholder management, marketing, regional management, destination management, and social and economic geography. These are combined with other approaches, particularly complexity theory, systems thinking, system dynamics, simulation modeling, consumer theory, customer satisfaction theory, and regional development theories. The research team is engaged in both basic and applied research, addressing specific challenges from managerial practice through contract research.
