PROJECT ANNOTATION:

The geographic excursion (and also field study) should be an integral part of students’ instruction in socioeconomic and regional geography. Experiencing a different environment can lead to more diverse instruction in terms of form and quality; it can increase students’ motivation and develop their competencies, attitudes and responsibility. The proposed project primarily deals with the practical testing and verification of acquired theoretical knowledge in the field and its application in the specific environment of two implemented excursions. Using practical field exercises, knowledge is activated, leading to their more effective use in practice. In addition, students will gain more information about the region, businesses, and the system of management of the given destination for work on other projects and in finding their place on the labour market. Excursions are planned so that their duration, contents and implementation are created by student teams, who prepare the trip for an extended period of time under the supervision and monitoring of guarantors, thus creating a tool for planning other excursions in the future. Together with the guarantors, the student teams will prepare the itinerary of the trip, its academic contents, activities for individual days, and also the technical matters linked to logistics and accommodation.
